We Need Your Help!

After three years of involvement in Battlebots, and a national high school victory under our belts, we decided that it was time to go pro. With a student at the University of South Florida, another at Carnegie Mellon University, and a professional engineer in industry combining their knowledge and understanding of all things mechanical and electrical, the team is set to do well. weapon motors & ESCs

My shipment of three Feigao 1308430s motors and two Castle Thunderbird-18 ESCs came in yesterday! The motors are SO SMALL! I still can't quite wrap my mind around just how small these 1 lb bots really are. The motors have a 3120Kv so with a 2S lipo (7.4V) they should run over 20,000 RPM. The weapon pulley is a 2:1 ratio, so the final weapon speed should be near 10,000 RPM. On Monday I'll be heading to Alro to buy metal, and Robot Marketplace to buy more components. I'm getting excited already!
